Golden era of bodybuilding i guess we all heard of it, such legends as the legendary chest Arnold Schwarzenegger, the biggest legs Tom Platz, the amazing conditioning at every competition: Frank Zane. A lot of people now are comparing the old generation of bodybuilding and the new generation, for me I think every generation have their own look for me I think that the old generation has a better physique and genetics but the new generation is a little bit bigger and muscular and harder work, u can notice that nowadays athletes have a lifestyle composed of 3 basic things: training eating and sleeping and that a bit boring as a lifestyle. if you are a fan of Sadik Hadazovic on YouTube he uploaded a video a s a vlog or a Q/A with the outstanding Frank Zane . Sadik Hadzovic used the opportunity as a to fix a little details . And then he asked him about the bodybuilding in the 80’s and the 70’s questions like posing, eating, prepping for a competition and specially the lifestyle of the old generation of bodybuilding. Bodybuilding then was not easy and that known it wasn’t reachable for anyone to become a Bodybuilder.

in the last 80’s bodybuilding was different, specially food, it was never that complicated, it was easy and a lot of proteins in it bodybuilders back then would eat only if they feel hungry and they use it to burn fat but they should eat when it starts to burn muscles that’s why they look smaller . and some of the old bodybuilders used to eat more proteins than carbohydrates we take the legendary a Frank Zane as an example he would take 1 gr proteins/ 1 pound of bodyweight and 0,5gr carbs / 1 pound of bodyweight

posing in the bodybuilding universe is a bit complicated and as important as the workout , that’s why back then it was tricky ,small details like the foot emplacement and the hands can make your win at the competition as you see all bodybuilders have great shapes so its all about posing .

doping back then was a little bit safer because it was a little bit less concentrated not like nowadays and steroids were safer , besides that they used to consume steroids only months before the competition .

training took longer back then , the awesome frank Zane used to train for like 2 hours with Arnold Schwarzenegger and then go get some fun at the beach then they go back and they train for like 3 more hours.
